NASA engineer claims to have created engine that violates the laws of physics
The helical motor could reach 99% of the speed of light.
It is a controversial and criticized concept, but its defenders boast potential.
An engine that takes us to the stars, at practically the speed of light and without the need to carry fuel is possible. Those are the controversial statements of David Burns, an engineer at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center.
The idea of such an engine defies the laws of physics as we know them; it would imply the possibility of generating thrust without the need to convert energy, simply taking advantage of the physics itself.
It is an attractive concept, and it is not surprising that many have tried to make it happen. One of the great obstacles to space exploration is the need to carry fuel for engines that generate thrust; without fuel, it would be possible to create smaller ships that traveled longer distances.
Uniti One orders open: the mini electric car with up to 300 km of autonomy from 17,767 euros
Uniti, the Swedish electric car company, already allows orders for what is its first model: the Uniti One. Its price starts from 17,767 euros and deliveries are scheduled to begin in the United Kingdom and Sweden in mid-2020.
Designed in Malmö (Sweden) and developed in a pilot plant that operates in Silverstone Park (United Kingdom), Uniti One was already able to meet it in 2017 when its pre-order phase was opened through Media Markt; Now, however, it is shown in its final design with important changes.
AMD's new CPU will achieve greater processing power in Monero
AMD will launch its new Ryzen 9 3950X processor in November, which could become one of the most powerful CPUs to undermine Monero. This new version reaches 30% more hashrate than the Ryzen 9 3900X, which went into circulation in September, according to mining experts.
The equipment offers 16 CPU cores, 32 threads, 4.7 activations per second (Ghz) and a maximum power (TDP) of 105W. It also works with its own cooling system, called Wrath Prism. All these features allow you to reach a processing power of 1.75 Kh / s in Monero.
Ryzen 9 3950X is positioned as the second most powerful processor in the market, being surpassed only by the Gold 6140 of Intel Xeon that achieves a hashrate of 1.86 Kh / s. Analysts believe that this new version could be very popular both for its capacity and its background. In September AMD launched another of its third generation equipment, the Ryzen 9 3900x, which had a very good acceptance among miners, players and computer enthusiasts.
